Your Japanese customers cannot find you on the web.
This program solves this problem.

Background

Japan is the world's second largest and the world's fastest growing web domain area. In March 2000 there were 36 million corporate and 22 million individual ISP accounts. These figures are growing at 50% a year.

Problem

  1. Japanese surfers are served by native search engines which rarely if ever compile non-Japanese sites. Often the Japanese engines are the only place the surfers search. Unless you specifcally register yourself with these engines (Japanese Search Engines) and you do so using Japanese keywords, your potential customers will most likely never see your site.
  2. Most Japanese can use and shop simple English sites. This takes them time and effort, but if they are interested, they will spend the nexessary time and effort. What they cannot do is evaluate quickly whether your site is worth the time and effort. This is why you need a Japanese introduction to your site, explaining what it does and offering pointers on how to use it.

How the program works

  1. FED develops a subdirectory for your site. A typical subdirectory's address may be: http://www.yoursite.com/Japanese/index.html.
  2. FED develops 1-5 Japanese-language html pages (as needed) which present you, your business, your product, your business opportunity, your contact information, and link the Japanese visitor to the appropriate English pages with appropriate explanations or commentary. These pages are designed to harmonize graphically with the rest of your site.
  3. FED equips the subdirectory with the proper keywords, title and descpription in Japanese (syllabary as well as 2 types of kanji input).
  4. FED registers this subdirectory with the appropriate Japanese search engines.
  5. Traffic from Japan begins to form 6-8 weeks after registration.

How long it takes

Work takes 2-3 days (we are currently experiencing minor backlog). Japanese engines are a little faster than US search engines and typically require 6-8 weeks to compile a newly registered site.

How much it costs

Costs vary but typically range around $1,000-2,000 including engine registration.
