Pasco: leading brand of bread, relaunching under a new brand identity (variety of magazines)

These three series (top: line of air-tight packets instant coffee, bottom: a line of cookies and a line of instant soups) were designed to relaunch an old, tired brand name under a new, edgy, sohpsitcated, funny european name and image. They ran in a variety of magazines for over 3 years. Each series won The Reader's Choice Award (voted by readers of Katei Gaho).


Pasco: leading brand of bread (new product launch)

This series of fanciful pastry ads (also for Pasco) ran as part of a four media campaign (TV, radio, magazines and newspapers) and won the Kinki Radio Award.

Nikka Whiskey: premium domestic whiskey brand, new product launch (magazine, newspaper)

Junko was the lead copywriter on twelve new product launches over a 4 year period.

Garden of the Andes: organic herbal teas (trade show leaflet)

Garden of the Andes is a brand of organic herbal teas. We arranged for a local dsitrbutor as well as helped develop the brand identity.

Mail Order Sale Through Ad: vitamin offer (women's magazine)

This was the only color ad in a whole series of black and white sell through and give away (customer acquisition) ads.

Mail Order Sale Through Ad: women's fashion wigs (women's magazine, follow up catalog)

These are samples from a 2-year sell- through campaign comprising print media and direct mail solicitations. We helped find the local licensee/distributor, develop media plan, and create the ads and the catalog.

Seiko Watches: a line of fancisul alarm clocks (young women's magazine)

This new line of fanciful alarm clocks sold over $50 million during its first year on the support of this ad campaign.

Tsumura Cosmetics: a new brand of facial lotion (variety of women's magazines)

One of a series of tie-ups (paid for publicity) featuring interviews with leading Japanese classical musicians of our time which lent the product an aura of authenticity and sohistication.
